Update on the dispute with Mr Fletcher and the former committee

I thought owners should be updated with the latest in the dispute with Mr Fletcher and his associates.
As you all know, his committee was removed at the Special General Meeting in November, a new committee was elected, and this committee elected me as the new chairman. All voting was verified by an independent auditor, Deloitte, a reputable company renowned internationally.
I have now received a very alarming and disturbing communication from Mr Fletcher’s new lawyers threatening litigation against me for Contempt of Court by representing myself to the Spanish court as the legitimate Club Chairman.
They also want to force me to meet all the terms of the 1st Arbitration, even though I was not party to that and have no authority or ability to comply. I am also accused of defamation, an allegation I have consistently denied.
Needless to say, I will be vigorously defending these allegations, but I thought you should be aware of what I am up against in defending Owners’ rights, I trust I have owners support.

Don't be concerned

We are receiving messages from owners concerned about a recent notification from Mr Fletcher. No need to worry, just to remind you that Mr Fletcher and his committee were removed at the SGM held on 28th November with voting verified by an independent auditor and a new committee was elected. Nothing will change. Wimpen’s lawyers are dealing with this.

A New Chapter

All Club members should have received letters by email with the outcome of the Special General Meeting. Check your inbox or junk mail.

The injunction was cancelled by the court. There was a good turnout with nearly 2,000 votes in favour of all resolutions.

Voting was verified by Deloitte, a highly respected and independent auditing company, to confirm that all votes were placed by legitimate owners of Club weeks. Hutchinsons Trustees were also present at the meeting.

Los Claveles AGMs DOA and Club
4th June 2025

This year we will be holding two AGMs, one for the Development Owners’ Association and one official meeting for Club Los Claveles which will be held by the new committee in Tenerife.

The meetings will take place concurrently and will be held at the Hotel G F Fañabé, Avenida Bruselas 13, Adeje, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain on Wednesday 4th June 2025. First call at 10.00am, second call 10.30am, followed by the Annual General Meeting of Club Los Claveles at 11.30am.

You will have or will shortly receive the agenda and voting form for both meetings. All owners, Club and Escritura may vote on the DOA meeting, only club members can vote on the Club meeting.

Transport will be provided for those staying at Los Claveles, just let Digna know.

Please don’t forget to return your proxy form without delay. Don’t post it, just photograph it and send by email to agm@wimpen.com by 10.00am 2nd June.
